Senior Leader of 15 years with a high pass rate.Â
I am also an Examiner.
About me

Over the years, I have helped thousands of students secure grades 4-9 helping them step confidently into their future.
My roles have included:Â

A Director of Science across a trust of schools responsible for the GCSE Science curriculum, assessments, interventions and progress of key stage 4 students.

An Assistant Headteacher overseeing Science and pupil premium.

A Lead Practitioner of Science - sharing and implementing best practice across a trust.

Head of Science - leading a department resulting in the best GCSE Science results in the school's history!

Head of Year 11 - managing the pastoral care and curriculum for a year group of students.

AQA Combined Science is full of lots of content, practicals and keywords for students to learn which can be very overwhelming and confusing. I believe students can succeed if given:Â

I run small online weekly group tuition sessions for Years 8, 9, 10 & 11 for Combined Science students on the AQA syllabus for both higher and foundation tiers. My lessons are tailored for key topic areas and required practicals which includes real life links, recall questions and exam practice. I break complex topics into simple blocks of scientific knowledge where we build upon each layer.
In addition, I also run Masterclasses for all paper 1 and paper 2 topics so Year 10 & Year 11 students can be prepared for their mocks and real exams with confidence! I do this by delivering key scientific content into blocks of knowledge in just one session.Â
I sell resources for Year 9, 10 & 11 students on the AQA Combined Science syllabus to support their independent learning. They are suitable for students on both higher and foundation tiers.

We do regular recall question and answer throughout the lesson so I can assess what student understand and address any misconceptions immediately.

We practice exam questions where we talk through the language of the questions including command words and exam technique in preparation for mocks and real exams.

Parents receive feedback online on how their child is doing throughout the academic year. Students have unlimited support throughout the year through email.Â
